To support participating designers, SammySam will provide workspace, sewing machines, and available tools for designers who would like to work on their competition gowns at our shop. Available work times are: - Saturday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM - Sunday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM - Monday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Please select your preferred day and indicate the time you would like to use the workspace. This will help us create a schedule and make sure workspace and equipment are available for each designer.

Design Requirements ---Please read the following requirements carefully. Each selected designer will be expected to:

• Design and complete one original full-length gown inspired by the “Past Meets Present” theme.

• Select an approved historical civilization or culture as the inspiration for the design.

• Transform historical influences into a modern, contemporary gown rather than simply reproducing a historical costume.

• Create an original design specifically for this competition.

• Complete the finished gown by the deadline established by the SammySam Fashion Show team.

• Attend required fittings, rehearsals, and fashion show preparations.

• Provide their own runway model to wear and present their gown during the fashion show.

• Be responsible for coordinating with their model and ensuring the model is available for all required fittings, rehearsals, and the fashion show.

• Be responsible for arranging and covering any costs associated with their model’s hair and makeup for the fashion show, unless otherwise announced by SammySam.

• Ensure that the model’s hair, makeup, and overall styling complement the designer’s gown and the “Past Meets Present” theme.

• Present the completed gown and model fully prepared for the SammySam “Past Meets Present” Fashion Competition & Runway Show.
